Sir Eduardo Paolozzi (1924 - 2005), internationally respected sculptor and printmaker, was one of the orginal Pop Art artists. Early in 1965, he began work on a massive project to create from his eclectic and unique collection of C20th ephemera, a definitive statement on modern man and his dilemma. The first volume of this project 'Moonstrips Empire News' was published in 1967.In the second volume, 'General Dynamic F.U.N', he broke further away from accepted fine art printing techniques by brilliantly exploiting the potential of photolithography as well as screenprinting. Only a few prints in each book hand were signed and numbered. Otherwise all have stamped signatures and the mark of Editions Alecto.
